What’s Your Landscape Style?

Find your landscape style!

Now that the warmer weather is here to stay, it is time to bring out the patio furniture, and assemble your yard for those bbq and bonfires. Just like you have a home decor style, you also have a landscape style! The backyard should be an extension of the interior of your home. Do you furnish your living room with chic, bold, statement pieces, or heirloom items from another generation? When you look to your accessories are they minimalistic or conversation starters? Do you enjoy lighting that is bright and crisp, or dim and cozy?

Infinite Lawn and Landscape can outfit any style or personality into your outdoor space! If you are having trouble determining what persona your should extend into your backyard, take our quiz to see what we recommend for you.

Mostly A’s

If you answered mostly A’s you are drawn to a bold industrial, rustic style. Your backyard should be furnished with rich woods and cool metals; think of wood benches & side tables, metal fire pits, and unique repurposed lighting such as a wire pendant or lamp. To cut all of the raw material, utilize soft whites in your greenscape elements with baby’s breath and white hydrangeas. For this style, creating a space with natural elements will balance the more intense material of metal and wire. Perks of industrial design is that the metal is meant to look worn, so keeping it “looking new” is something you won’t have to worry about. Wood, when treated and sealed properly, is also very low maintenance. Your friends and family will dig the edgy, yet casual vibe of your backyard!Industrial Backyard

Mostly B’s

Mostly B’s reflects a traditional, homey feel. You know what is comfortable, safe, and neutral and sticking with that is right up your ally! Classic pavers with (maybe) a fun pattern to structure your fire ring, outdoor kitchen, and landscaping are cohesive and appealing to everyone. Your flowerbeds are full with vivid flowers and grasses of a mixture of colors to pop against the neutral hardscape; furnishings alongside are time-honored patio chaises and chairs. Just because it’s traditional, doesn’t mean your backyard needs to look like everyone else’s. We use materials you might have seen before, but with each new job comes a new design custom fitted for your landscape. So don’t feel bad like a copy-cat for liking what your best friend has- feel like a proud papa when you transform your appeal for the basics into a stunning showstopper!

Elena Walkway

Mostly C’s

If you answered C more often than not, you have an appreciation for nature looking undisturbed. Natural stone or slate utilized in unique ways to blend seamlessly with your house and backyard as if it was meant to be there. This vintage bohemian trend is increasingly common, and as avid advocates for local plant species and wildlife we support where this style is going. Creating a quiet, yet beautiful backyard with a more neutral color pallet in plants allows the homeowner to add pops of color and personal style with the furnishings and decor. The backyard then becomes a blank canvas that adapts to your changing tastes, remaining understated and the key to letting your personality shine through. Concrete and stone walkways that involve grass into the design incorporate nature as a part of the landscape instead of working against it. Illuminated with soft lanterns, you’re ready to walk out to the hammock, and do some serious star gazing!

Antika Driveway

Mostly D’s

You aren’t afraid of making a statement by embracing contemporary avant-garde design and aesthetics. High end patio furniture that looks as if it belongs inside, makes a statement outside since your yard will feel like another room of the home. Natural material such as flagstone makes an expensive, sophisticated impression while feeling raw and minimal at the same time. The hardscape will speak for itself while you entertain guests alongside chic, linear fireplaces shimmering with glass or stone. As the sun sets you won’t stress to turn on your lighting, since your patio will shine on its own with in-ground lighting. Don’t break a sweat working to maintain, succulents are low-effort plants that fit with the stylish frontier of modern design that you won’t need a green thumb for. If you are ready to WOW your social circle, let us transform your yard into a modern masterpiece.

Summer Entertaining

Summer entertaining season is here!

Minnesota has gone full throttle into outdoor weather! When you think of summer entertaining you think: grilling, bonfires, yard games, and family. Entertaining outdoors can be one of the easiest, low maintenance ways to have a good time with your guests. Less cBloglean up, more space, and beautiful scenery. It doesn’t take much set up to throw some burgers and brats on the grill, toss a few games of corn hole, and relax around the fire with some smores.

There is always someone in each friend group that has the ultimate set up for summer entertaining. They’ve got the beautifully detailed paver patio, lush green grass, and shaded yard from the summer sun. We know how it goes- every backyard bbq is at their place. Which means loading up the pasta salad, beer, and kids and trekking it over to their side of town. YIKES! That takes the “fun” out of Sunday-Funday. Each time you’re commuting back home you’re wishing, if only we could host at our house, but we just don’t have the set up. Well, Infinite Lawn and Landscape is here to help.

Here are just five ways we can transform your backyard into the hot-spot of summer hang outs.

Wether you need something to fit a big group of cousins, or something small and intimate for you and the love bird, our installers can customize a unique fire pit just for you.

Maybe you’ve neglected your lawn, or maybe the elements are battling against you. Either way,
if your grass is patchy, uneven, or thin Infinite Lawn and Landscape can bring an action plan to get your grass back to its vivid, lively green for the summer season. If you want results and you want them now we recommend sod installation for a quick and instant transformation. With a little more time and patience our seed will grow and restore your lawn just the same. Bring on the yard games!

4. Shade & Aesthetic Appeal

Want to keep your private get together, well, private? We can install the right size plants to enclose your backyard into a exclusive getaway. Cool off in the shade of a new tree, and sit back to admire your blooming flower beds. Your guests will be oohing and ahhing at the colorful flowers and succulents taking root in your soil. The best part- Infinite Lawn and Landscape embraces using native annual and perennial plants so they thrive. So no more having to replace them after a couple of weeks when the weather drowns or dries them out!

5. Pest Management

Besides the weather, the most common summer flowerbed garden complaint why people remain indoors during the summer is pests. We’re talking mosquitoes, gnats, stink bugs, flies, and other critters that just ruin the outdoors. By taking control of your yard with landscaping, you can have an amazing effect on those uninvited guests. Plants such as Citronella Grass, fragrant Lavender, and even edible Basil are proven to repel insects from your personal space.

We doubt you need more convincing!

Infinite Lawn and Landscape is waiting for your call to schedule a design within your budget to meet your summer entertaining needs. Don’t envy your friend’s backyard, take control and make your backyard the place to be this summer!
